This is one of three images of the old RCAF Aerodrome hangars outside of Vulcan, AB, that I photographed a couple of weekends back with my friend James. I'm posting this image out of order because it has what I think is the funniest story associated with it.
I had not been out to this place before. James has a few times and he was excited to show it to me, which suited me fine. On the way out he mentioned several times how impressively the buildings had been constructed and the massive fortification of the outside walls against projectiles, bombing, etc. I was imagining the walls were concrete and several feet thick. We got there, and... Yeah. You can see from this image that one good sneeze and that door is going in.
James belatedly admitted to some embellishment.
